BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has had a long affinity with AMAG. Initially Pat Davies trained with Rick Young as well as in Judo from the late 80's and has experienced BJJ from many different instructors. He is a student of 4th Degree Black Belt Rey Diogo.

The BJJ at AMAG is taught by Peter Richardson. Peter runs his own Jitsudo Association and also represents the Rio Grappling Club run by 2nd Degree Black Belt Roberto Atalla.

There were times when only two people turned up for seminars and those were Peter and Pat! But that investment has blossomed and under Peter Richardson's tutelage the class is constantly challenging standards and producing quality students.

AMAG has and continues to host many world class BJJ instructors. The BJJ is an important piece of the cross training matrix that defines the AMAG student.
